Accommodations. There are many hotels in the Ithaca area, including one on the campus of the Cornell University:
The Ramada Inn - We have set aside a block of rooms at the Ramada Inn for $100 per night, plus tax. Please mention the Parlange-Brutsaert Symposium for this rate.
All the hotels listed have shuttles to and from the airport and campus. The Holiday Inn and The Hilton Garden Inn are located downtown for those who wish to be in the heart of Ithaca.
Travel. Other than driving, there are two options for getting to Cornell University:
1. Flights: Flights into Ithaca Tompkins Regional Airport are available from Newark, LaGuardia, Philadelphia, and Detroit. The Ithaca airport is approximately 10 minutes from campus by car or taxi. A wider array of flights are available into the Greater Binghamton Airport and Syracuse Hancock International Airport. Both of these airports are approximately one hour from campus by car.
2. Bus: Cornell University operates a Campus-to-Campus (C2C) bus between the Ithaca campus and New York City. This is a great option for those coming from the NYC area, and can be caught at two stops in the city: at the Cornell Club (44th St. between 5th and 6th Ave.) or at Weill Cornell Medical College (main entrance at 1300 York Ave., across from the intersection with 69th St.). If you choose this option, it is best to make a reservation, as this bus is quite popular.
